My Mom just sent this video to me, and after just attending my grandpa's funeral I can appreciate how difficult it may have been to say these things. This is a week of thanks and I can go on and on about the many things I'm thankful for but today, right now, I'd be selfish not to thank my family for their quirks and my husband for his snoring :)
This isn't exactly what you'd think you'd get the week of Thanksgiving. But watch this clip as it might help put some things into perspective....
Happy Thanksgiving!

I'll give you mine, if you give me yours...
Are you a photographer interested in trading my event coordinating skills from Pomegranate Planning for your killer pics? Great so am I! I plan showers, private dinners, weddings, corporate functions, etc. Feel free to leave me your email on my comment box and let's figure something out. Look forward to hearing from you, Rach

28 years of memories
I've never been very good at journaling and it bothers me. I also have a bad memory, so I'm asking ALL to write a memory of me, you and any others that has happened in the last 28 years. I'm celebrating my Birthday month and my Bday wish is to have YOU help me remember some funny, sad, and downright disturbing details of my life. I promise I'll write them in my journal :)
Thanks friends and family! With Love Always ~Rach

A birthday boy and an old-fashioned bbq
I must be doing something right because amidst the torrential downpor last week I was blessed with an afternoon of clear skies and warm climate. Last Friday, after alot of help from my family we pulled off an old-fashioned bbq. My adorable husband turned 28 this year and I think he looks pretty darn cute. Too bad I'm not a good wife or I would have taken pictures of the fun setup and great company!
This gives you an idea of what we did:

Cabo + Swine Flu=Hawaii...Again!
I'm just about set for Cabo with just a few days until I depart for Cabo. Then reports begin to surface about the Swine Flu. A coordinator's worst fear comes to real life. My client did what they had too and aired on the safe side, cancelling the trip.
I was determined to find a place safe enough for travel. I called resorts ALL over the World (literally.) Everything fell right into place in HAWAII! Just being there 3 weeks prior I wasn't all that excited to go back. However, I put on my professional hat and re-ticketed 80 people's airfare to Hawaii, found a new resort, planned an off-site excursion, arranged 4 seperate banquets, and battled guest requests within 72 hours!
I flew in a few days ahead of schedule to do a site walk-through and get all the contracts in order. I was thinking I'd be able to sneak in a few hours of free time before my clients arrived and their guests, I was sorely mistaken. I actually wasn't able to get into my swimsuit until the 5th day and still didn't make it to the ocean until my last day in Hawaii (day 9.) It had to have been the longest 9 days of my life. But really who complains having to work in Hawaii versus Utah?
